A local grid area faced recurring bottlenecks during peak demand hours, limiting new connections for housing and charging infrastructure.

Grid congestion occurred during short periods, even though overall capacity was sufficient. Permanent grid expansion was not immediately feasible.

THE APPROACH

GridCore developed a battery storage site positioned to relieve the bottleneck during peak hours. The system was designed in coordination with the DSO to align with operational needs.

The storage site provides targeted flexibility when needed most. It reduces congestion, lowers the risk of outages, and supports continued local development while longer-term grid planning continues.
